Female Driver Search Underway for 2023 Kelly Moss Porsche Carrera Cup North America Seat
Kelly Moss, based in Madison, WI, has extended invitations to twelve women with proven race talent from around the globe for a chance at a coveted Porsche Carrera Cup North America seat.
Their invitation requires each applicant to submit the necessary information for the committee to narrow the field to a top four. The committee is pleased to have oversight by 1992 Indianapolis 500 Rookie of the Year, 24 Hours of Daytona (twice) and 12 Hours of Sebring winner Lyn St. James, and also includes the owners of Kelly Moss, Victoria Thomas and Andy Kilcoyne, Race Manager Ken Swan, Team Manager Will Alexander, Data Engineer Alex Stone and Pro class race-winning driver Riley Dickinson.
These four will attend a two-day driver shootout held at Putnam Park Raceway at the end of this month. During the shootout, the women will be evaluated both on and off track. This intensive event will involve assessment of track times, technical communication with engineers, understanding of car dynamics, interview skills, sponsorship value, fit with the team and more.
“Our goal is to find the very best female talent to drive our Porsche 911 GT3 Cup car, type 992 competitively in the 2023 Porsche Carrera Cup North America series,” says Victoria Thomas, Kelly Moss CFO & co-owner.

There is additional hope of attracting more female fans into motorsports and sharing all of the career opportunities the industry as to offer as well.
“The Netflix F1 series, Drive to Survive has further proven women are very interested in motorsports when they know the story beyond just race results. We intend to share the story of our journey, the ups and downs to draw women into and share the love of motorsports and its community.”
The shootout will be open to the press, as we would love for them to be part of the selection process”, Thomas shared.
