1996 911 993 Carrera C4S
This C4S was bought by it’s current owner sight unseen (other than a few photos) knowing what the car could and would become after the needed repairs and upgrades. The car was heavily damaged in the front and had a laundry list of broken/bent suspension and mechanical components. When dropped off at our shop we first needed to do an assessment of what was needed to find out if the car even ran which was a feat in itself because the car was so banged up. We tore into the front end finding wiring problems smashed control units etc. So we decided the chassis/ body needed repairs before we moved any further. We once again called upon our in house expertise with the Celette Frame Bench using the Fixtures to positively locate and repair key chassis points. We replaced most of the front inner structure to a seamless undetectable repair, using seam sealers and proper Schutz textures in all of the correct places. Once the chassis was straightened back out, sheet metal replaced and painted we looked toward our street shop for reassembly of the mechanicals and converting the C4S into a C2S (AWD into RWD).
While waiting on the bodywork to come from Europe we worked on the underpinnings such as meticulously detailing every component in the engine bay and underneath, blasting and clear coating the aluminum components with adding all new bearings & bushings while we were at it. From early on in the build the plan was to build a GT2 Tribute car with a custom twist. We sourced the GT2 bodywork all in Lightweight Carbon/Kevlar and got to work on the needed modifications for the conversion while we were repairing the exterior body. The car was in need of a complete paint job due to the multiple door dings , scrapes and nicks all around. The fenders & quarters were clearanced making room for bigger/wider wheels&tires. Bolt-On type flares (just as Porsche used on the GT2) with a Clubsport/Turbo Engine lid & spoiler using the Factory style front bumper cover but the GT2 lower Spoiler with a wider rear bumper cover made up the list of composite body panels. The Rear bumper was also customized by our in-house composites specialists to accept a center exhaust of what origin is still to be determined as the car will most likely be a turbo and not use our signature Cup Muffler. On the interior we are using Recaro Pole Position seats with Custom Houndstooth Centers and the same Houndstooth pattern on the RS door panels, the interior will be finished off with RS style rear seat delete carpet. The finishing touches on the exterior will be 3 piece BBS wheels polished & Gold centers and a very low and aggressive
